We are proud to announce the release of three new drug information cards! Our DMT and cocaine cards have been updated and redesigned with more attractive artwork; additionally, we have added a brand new card on 5-MeO-DMT. These new cards are available now, along with poster versions of DMT and 5-MeO-DMT.
These updates are part of our full literature redesign project (which began last year) with new versions of our MDMA, LSD, Mushrooms, Alcohol and Cannabis cards. We now have a total of eight updated cards and six new posters, and we will continue to update the rest and add a few more drugs to the series.
Our drug info card series was first launched in 1999. Both the original and updated designs have been created by Oakland artist and graphic designer Jason Justice, with direction from DanceSafe founder Emanuel Sferios.
As Sferios explains, “The idea for the artwork back in 1999 was to capture, as much as possible, the subjective effect or inner feeling of the drug in question, without judgment or stigma. We wanted young people to resonate with the art. That way they would be more likely to read the health and safety information on the back.”
Our drug info cards have been a tremendous success. Over the last 20 years we have printed and distributed over four million of them, and they continue to be purchased by schools, health centers, harm reduction agencies and drug consumers alike. It is our hope that our redesigned cards, along with our posters, will continue to bring our health and safety message to a broad segment of today’s youth.
